The ability to work in a team is not limited to Chamber Music and Piano Duets. Pianist in the modern day have to learn to accompany a singer and students for exam or be repetiteur for Opera or for Ballet companies

Popular Music
Grade 1 – 5, jazz ensemble, aural training, theory, blues and jazz scales, jazz standards, contemporary jazz, piano class for non-keyboard instruments, and improvisation. Instrument offered: Piano, clarinet, trumpet and flute. Minimum entry is Grade 6 Classical Theory and Recital.
Stagecraft
Skills to ensure your sound is delivered effectively across the concert hall. Master the art of stage presence giving your audience a convincing auditory and visual experience.
Chamber Music
To acquire skills necessary to perform in a group of 3 or more people, similar skill sets to singers performing in a choir
Sight Reading
To read a piece of music on sight without prior preparation. This skill set is required in the modern day context as musicians are required to learn complex music in short amount of time
Theory
Enrolment for all music students is automatic. This is a compulsory subject and non-optional across all majors except jazz where minimum grade 5 is required.
Aural
Listening skills, aural perception of pitch and rhythmic dictation is tested from grade 1 to grade 8.
Composition
Composition students must select an instrument to major and complete all compulsory components up to grade 8.
Pedagogy
Pedagogy students must select an instrument to major and complete all compulsory components up to grade 8.
